Get Back on the Highway

What the heck, seriously.

Is there any doubt left that the current powers that be are in love with oil and what it does for them? The new congressional transportation appropriations bill basically gives the finger to bikers and pedestrians and tells them to get back into their 10 MPG SUV's and Never Forget to keep it filled to the brim with gas so those darn terrorists don't win.

Hello...

Two weeks since I last posted. What's new?

Bush is full of shit

Bush Seeks Ideas for Cuba Regime Change

Ok, now he's just going crazy. You can't just go changing every government that you don't agree with. Castro's been in power for 44 years, I don't think it will be terribly easy to remove him.

Imperial Pleasure

AT-ST's making with the love.

Just when you think you've been on the net long enough to see just about everything from rampant fan-boys to every possible banner ad proclaiming hot, hot action, you get this guy that's combined both.

Needless to say, many hours of humankinds' productivity have been used to demostrate carnal pleasures with plastic toys from Star Wars (Mr. Lucas, please don't sue).

Wish I had a few of these

Big Bills
Weird to think of so much value placed in one little piece of paper. I don't suppose you ever find one of these just laying in the middle of the street.

Multi-Theft Auto

Multi-Theft Auto
Fun little mod to GTA3:VC that allows you to play concurrently with others. It gets pretty fun playing king of the hill at the mansion and having stunt shows.

Also in the hopper of games for me to play is Homeworld 2. I've heard good things about this.

Where did he keep the bottle?

Baby born drunk
The baby was born with a BAC of .18. Wouldn't that suck, first morning on planet earth and you have a hangover. Get that kid some multivitamins and orange juice.

In Chicago for the night. Killer day of capitalism at its ugliest (mall-shopping). Got to see the new G5 in person. Sweet.

Red vs Blue

Red vs Blue is one of the funniest web-comics out there. They act out the whole story using the game Halo. The dialog is hilarious and the story is pretty good for something that started out as an April fools joke. Now they have a large following and a full season of 19 episodes for their series "Blood Gultch". Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

From Up, Bustle, & Out

Solid Steel on ACRN

ACRN College Radio
Every Wedensday from 1 pm - 2 pm they broadcast the solid steel show. If you're into electronica at all you should take a listen, it's brilliant stuff. Ninja Tune has put out some great stuff.

I know it's a little late for this week but next week take a listen, you'll be glad you did.

Fathom is back

Fathom is back after settlement
Aspen and Top Cow have apparently settled their issues with the Fathom title. How many years has it been since the last issue? I remember Basshead buying this title way back in the day, good to see it's on its way back. Michael Turner has done some really good work and has gone through a lot during the course of the Fathom title.

No iPod?

For those without an iPod
Found that on BoingBoing. Print it off, fold it and paste it onto some cardboard for geek chic.

Sweetness

The new 10 gig iPod finally arrived today from Shanghai, China. Pure sweetness. I'm waiting until I get home to open it up and play with it but if the packaging is any indication I'll be very impressed by this thing.

Hopefully it will make me forget about the last month and a half of waiting in anticipation.
