Think of the Children

Sploid: Iowa wants kids to trade sex for jewelry

For the record: I think this is a bad idea. Plenty of sources say abstinence isn't very effective (at least not as much as safe sex education). From my experience growing up in Iowa it seems that the ones under the most pressure to stay abstinent are the ones who engage in the most risky sexual behavior.

Legos - Money

Boing Boing: Man accused of stealing vast number of Lego kits from Target stores

I like Legos and I like money. How can I make those two get together? Hmmm.

New Caucus Schedule?

Daily Kos: 2008: Early Nevada caucus?

As much as I like Iowa being the limelight once everyone four years, I have to admit it isn't a very good reflection of the nation as a whole. I'm spoiled in my little progressive pocket but I don't trust the rest of the state.

Oracle Podcasts

Gotta remember to give this a shot when I get back to iTunes:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/syndication/techcasts/index.html

I tried listening to this a while ago but the show I listened to was really dry. Chris Schalk mentioned he recently made a post about app dev type stuff so maybe I'll try to get back into it.

Backups

If it's good enough for Tom Kyte...

I've got to get a good backup strategy at home.

Arrested Development

That's just really sad. Why didn't you people watch?
